Successful candidates must be available to work Memorial Day weekend, including Monday, May 28, 2012, and possibly a portion of other weekends as race day draws near. Candidates must be 18 or older to apply. 

 

Seasonal pay for non-supervisory positions is $8.25 to $9.50 per hour.  Complimentary merchandise, merchandise discounts and lunch on us (the last few days of race week) are offered to all seasonal employees.  Please inform us during the interview process of any commitments that may affect your availability to fulfill the entire job timeframe.

Our positions include:

 

DATA PROCESSING LEAD

Dates of employment:

Late February through mid-June, 2012. Candidate must be able to work Memorial Day Weekend, including Monday.

Job Specifics:

Manages daily operations of the BolderBOULDER Data Entry Department. Performs a variety of duties personally and supervises employees performing duties. Assists with the planning and preparation of work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. Ensures work is completed in a timely manner, and personally is responsible for quality control. Reports to Director of Registration Operations

Type of position:

Part-time to full- time (20 hours per week minimum up to over 40 hours per week). Must be available Monday-Friday every week and weekends as required toward the end of May.

Job Specifics:

Manages online registration process.  Classifies and codes data to be entered; keys from a variety of prepared and original source documents, forms, and records; identifies and corrects errors.

An ideal candidate would have:

 

· Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

· Demonstrated conflict management and resolution skills

· The ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels

· Deductive reasoning and common sense skills

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Able to multi-task

· Ability to focus on work in a sometimes noisy, distracting environment

· Knowledge of methods and equipment used in keypunching or data entering; general clerical and record-keeping procedures including coding, indexing, filing and comparing.

· The ability to make comparisons and calculations rapidly and accurately; operate data entry operations on a computer with the speed and accuracy necessary to meet departmental standards.

· Excellent typing and data entry skills required.  Windows experience is helpful. Performs customer service functions: assists customers over telephone and by email; responds to routine questions, researches problems, and initiates problem resolution.

 

DATA PROCESSING SPECIALIST           

 

Dates of employment:

Mid-March or later through Monday, May 28, 2012. Candidate must be able to work Memorial Day Weekend, including Monday.

 

Type of position:

Part-time to full- time (15 hours per week minimum up to possibly 35 to 40 hours). Must be available Monday-Friday every week.   Up to 10 day-shifts available and 3 night shift.  The night shift positions are filled.

 

Job Specifics:

Classifies and codes data to be entered; keys from a variety of prepared and original source documents, forms, and records; identifies and corrects errors.

 

An ideal candidate would have:

· Knowledge of methods and equipment used in keypunching or data entering; general clerical and record-keeping procedures including coding, indexing, filing and comparing.

ASSISTANT RETAIL MANAGER

 

Dates of employment:

Early March through Mid- June, 2012. Candidate must be able to work Memorial Day Weekend, including Monday.

 

Type of position:

Full-time (35 to 40 hours per week). Must be available Monday-Friday and rotating weekends.  Two day-shifts available.

 

Job Specifics:

Assists in managing daily operations of the BolderBOULDER retail/registration store. Performs a variety of duties personally and/or supervises employees performing duties. Assists with the planning and preparation of work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. Performs sales work, takes inventories, reconciles cash with sales receipts, keeps operating records, and/or prepares daily record of transactions in compliance with sales and security procedures. Reports to Retail Manager and supervises subordinate staff.

 

An ideal candidate would have:

· Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

· Demonstrated conflict management and resolution skills

· The ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels

· Deductive reasoning and common sense skills

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Able to multi-task

· Ability to focus on work in a sometimes noisy, distracting environment

 

RETAIL SPECIALIST

 

Dates of employment:

Late March through early June, 2012. Candidate must be able to work Memorial Day Weekend, including Monday. There will be some weekend work required throughout the season.

 

Type of position:

Part-time (15 to 35 hours per week).

 

Job Specifics:

Performs a variety of duties associated with BolderBOULDER registration/retail sales. Performs sales work, takes inventories, reconciles cash with sales receipts, keeps operating records, and/or prepares daily record of transactions in compliance with sales and security procedures. Reports to Retail Assistant Manager and Retail Manager.

 

An ideal candidate would have:

· The ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels

· Previous experience with Point of Sale systems a plus

· Excellent oral communication skills

· Deductive reasoning and common sense skills

· Able to multi-task

· Ability to focus on work in a noisy, distracting environment
