LEARN ABOUT AMERICA'S ALL-TIME BEST 10K
BolderBOULDER is not your ordinary road race. There is a lot more to the day than just the 10K, and you have a lot more options to make your race perfect.
It’s always on Monday, Memorial Day, which in 2013 is on May 27.
The pro wheelchair wave goes off at 6:55am followed by the “A” wave at 7:00am. From 7:00am to approximately 9:30am the other 90 waves will launch. See the full wave launch schedule. The International Team Challenge begins at 11:15am (women) and 11:26am (men), and will finish inside the stadium between 11:47 and 11:58am. The Memorial Day Tribute will cap off the day at noon.
There are several ways to reserve your spot on the start line:
Online – Click here, to sign up and choose where to pick up your packet.
In Person - If you would rather register in person and walk away with your bib and race packet, visit the BolderBOULDER Twenty Ninth Street store starting in April.
By mail - Print an entry form and mail it in.
There are also several other one-day on-site registration options. If you’re willing to pay a little more to see what the Memorial Day weather looks like first, you can register at the SportsEXHIBIT on the Pearl Street Mall Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26 from 10am to 6pm, or on race day, May 27 from 5:45am until 9:00am.

In 2011 we moved the start line to 30th & Walnut to bring it closer to the finish. From there runners take a scenic tour of Boulder and finish on the floor of the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field. Here’s a course map along with maps of the start area and finish area.
You can get to the start line by bus or by parking in one of the lots between the start and finish. Here’s how to get around town race day.
That’s the beauty of our wave start; everyone has a place from the fastest runners in the country to those who want to stroll along the course and enjoy the scenery. Instead of battling your way through 50,000 other bodies, you get your own start with a small group that runs or walks about the same pace as you. We have 90+ total waves including waves for qualified runners that can prove they can run under 68 minutes as well as waves for runners, joggers and walkers that don't require qualification.
We can help you start with your family or friends; the rest of the day is up to you. If you want to be in the same start wave as someone else, register everyone online or in person at the same time. Enter the names of those you want to run with in the appropriate field. Qualifying rules still apply, and everyone in your group will be placed in the slowest person’s wave. Check our friends and family search page to see if the people you know are already registered.
No problem, assuming there are still bibs available in the wave you want. Return your bib and timing tag to our Twenty Ninth Street store until May 24, or to the SportsEXHIBIT on race weekend. For a $10 bib change fee we’ll get you switched. Keep in mind that you won’t be allowed to move up to a faster wave on race day.
The finish line is only the beginning! Once you enter Folsom Field like an Olympian to the cheers of 50,000 fans and cross the finish line, you will grab your keepsake snack back and let the rest of the fun begin. The RaceDayEXPO outside the stadium showcases over 75 companies waiting to load you up with more yummy food and other samples. Head back to the stadium for the finish of the men’s and women’s International Team Challenge featuring three-runner teams from around the world going head to head with Team USA. The Grand Finale is the Memorial Day Tribute with skydivers carrying flags from each military branch, a military jet flyover and a ceremony honoring local military heroes.
Inside that little tag is an antennae and a unique code that tells us who you are. As long as you wear it on your shoe, every time you cross a timing mat (at the start, finish and every mile marker), our high tech timing system will record your times and merge them into your results.
Verizon will send your splits and finish time to your cell phone right after you finish. You can text other bibs numbers to 66196 to see your friends’ times when they finish. We will also post results online race day. Finally, later in June you will get an official results certificate in the mail.
We need thousands of volunteers to make the race happen. Whether you volunteer on your own, or as part of a non-profit group you will walk away with some great keepsakes and the glory of being a race day hero.
In order to keep everyone on their feet, we don’t allow pets, strollers, inline skates, etc., and no costumes that extend beyond the body.
There are no refunds, exchanges or transfers on registration fees.

Revoltion Running's ten-week training program begins in March.
We have booked thirty bands and other entertainment acts to perform along the course and get you to the finish with a bounce in your step. You can even take home a BolderBOULDER Bootlegs CD of songs from the course bands.
