The Race

Runner's World magazine recently named BolderBOULDER America's All-Time Best 10K. Everyone from world class athletes to casual walkers enjoy the scenic course through Boulder and all the events surrounding the race.

Start Line

Last year the start line moved from 30th and Iris to 30th & Walnut.  Feedback tells us you all agree this was a good move.  The reduced distance between the start and finish made car and bus transportation easier and improved the participant post race experience of those getting back to cars parked at the start area.  See the new map

Waves

Instead of battling your way through 50,000 other bodies you get your own start with a small group that runs or walks about the same pace as you. We have 80+ total waves including waves for qualified runners that can prove they can run under 68 minutes as well as waves for runners, joggers and walkers that don't require qualification.  You will be seeded in the first available wave based on runner type chosen during the registration process.  Qualifying wave proof can be any race between 2 miles and a marathon run since the last BolderBOULDER.

Starting with Others

If you want to be in the same start wave as someone else, register everyone online at the same time (on the same day).  Enter the names of those you want to run with in the appropriate field.  Qualifying rules still apply, and everyone in your group will be placed in the slowest person’s wave.  Check our friends and family search page (starting in April) to see if the people you know are already registered.

Race Timing

Your time will be captured at the start, finish, and every mile in between by your timing tag attached to your shoe. A results text will come to your phone right after you finish, and a results certificate will be mailed after the race.

Packet Delivery

We will deliver your packet to one of 29 Front Range pickup locations for free. You may also have your packet mailed for an extra charge.  Register by 5/13/2012 for mailed packets. Sorry, no international shipping.
