In 2006 BolderBOULDER created a satellite race in Baghdad 10K with the help of a group of dedicated runners stationed at Camp Victory in Iraq. The race was run on Memorial Day and gave service men and women a connection to the tens of thousands of BolderBOULDER runners competing on the same morning. Participants wore BolderBOULDER bibs and received donated official t-shirts. With 601 finishers it became the largest race in Iraq.
In 2007 and 2008 satellite races were run in Balad, Kuwait and aboard the USS Nimitz (on treadmills). In 2009 the BolderBOULDER races were in Balad and Kuwait . Close to 500 participants ran at each location.
