Head Coach and Training Director
Ewen North

Ewen at Philly Half

Ewen North has been head Coach and Director of BOLDRUNNING for 3 years.
Born in Shrewsbury England, a competitive runner since the age of 7, Ewen has helped hundreds of runners improve and achieve their goals through the BOLDRUNNING training program.
A cross country and track school champion in his native England, Ewen spent his teenage years as a competitive mountain bike racer at the national level. He then returned to his first love, the sport of running at the age of 18 and decided to "get serious." Reaching the national level as a runner, he has competed in the British World Cross Country Trial and several other National Championship events.
Ewen began his coaching experience as an assistant Coach at Adams State College in Colorado and also at The University of Nebraska Track and Field Team.
He has a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology and Leisure Science with a specialization in Sports Psychology, adding to his wealth of knowledge and experiences as a coach.

Ewen's main coaching philosophies are to promote health and fitness by creating a fun and interactive training environment. He believes that consistency is the key to improved fitness and that training should be kept simple and easy to understand.
Ewen is still a competitive runner having competed at the NCAA Division I level for Oklahoma State University and in Division II for Adams State College, taking home all Big 12 honors and a third place team cross country championship in 2002.
Ewen has gone on to win many races including the 2005 Lake Tahoe Half Marathon, 2005 and 06 Indian Summer 10K and the 2007 Other Half, Half Marathon in Moab Utah. Other notable performances are a 2nd place at the Garden of the Gods 10 Miler, 4th Place finish at the 2006 Las Vegas Half Marathon and 13th at the Big Sur half Marathon. Ewen is also a veteran of one marathon, the 2005 Honolulu Marathon, finishing in a sub-par 2:57 and has completed the Pikes Peak Accent in 2 hours 45.

He was also a member of the British Team at the 2006 BolderBOULDER International Team challenge.
