Ashley Anderson
Ashley Anderson is a first year BoldRunning coach. She is also a Masters student in the Sport and Performance Psychology program at the University of Denver where she is specifically studying coaching and performance enhancement through mental skills training in endurance sports. In addition, she is the assistance cross country coach at Denver South High School.
She is from Rochester Hills, Michigan and has been competitive runner since she was young. She was a NCAA Division I cross country and track and field athlete at Central Michigan University where she earned multiple MAC conference awards.
She is still actively involved in the competitive running scene and is currently training for the 5k and 10k events on the track with a long term goal of running the 2012 Olympic marathon trial. She has recently run a marathon PR of 2:55. Other PR’s include 4:58 in the mile, a 10:03 3,000m, an 18:03 5k, and a 1:23 half marathon (split time).
Her goal as a coach is to instill a desire in each athlete to strive to reach their personal and performance goals through preparation, dedication, and for the love of running. |
