IAN COLLE
In 2002 I found myself ~40lbs. overweight and unable to run a mile without my heart feeling like it was going to explode through my chest. I needed a long term goal to help me get into shape so I signed up for the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC. After six months of training I was 35lbs lighter and achieved my goal of running a 4 hour 30 minute marathon!
I've since run several Bolder Boulders and a handful of 1/2 Marathons. Running is now part of my life. Why? Because it allows me to eat just about whatever I want and still fit into my clothes...haha. My theory of training is that if it hurts a little bit you're probably doing it right, but if it hurts a LOT you're doing it wrong! |
