KIM FREEMAN

Kim Freeman has been coaching for the BoldRunning for two years.

Kim started running seven years ago as a way to stay in shape in college. Kim thought the idea of running more than a mile was a daunting and boring activity especially while growing up in Colorado.
Kim believed she was meant for the short distances on the basketball court. As the years passed, Kim metamorphosed into a "marathon junkie" or rather a distance runner living for the hours on the open road. Her other activities include mountain and road biking, swimming, snowshoeing, weight training, hiking and duathlons.

Kim's main coaching philosophies are to set achievable goals, stick with them, and have fun in the process. Running isn't about what others are doing or have done, it's about what "you" can do.
Consistency is the key to reaching any goal. Kim had never run a race until 2003. Since then she set her marathon PR at the 2007 Denver Marathon with a 3:40, qualifying her to run the 2008 Boston Marathon--a goal she has been consistently striving for the past two years.
Other achievements include at 1:44 half-marathon and a 48:16 PR at the 2007 Bolder Boulder.
