Kristin Carpenter
After beginning her athletic career as a NCAA Division I Water Polo player at Indiana University (1998-2001), Kristin took up running for fitness and a change of pace in 2000. Since that time, she has competed in the Chicago Marathon 3 times (2001, 2002, 2003) and the Boston Marathon (2001) with a marathon PR of 3:17. Kristin recently finished as one of the top females at Ironman Wisconsin, placing 2nd in her age group in an amazing time of 10:44.
Outside of her athletic endeavors, Kristin has recently graduated with a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado. Kristin’s training as a physical therapist is a valuable asset to BOLDRUNNING as she has expertise in anatomy, movement analysis, training principles and potential contributors to overuse injuries that commonly plague runners. |
