G.U.T.S Mental Training Clinics
Looking to Gain Ultimate Training Success and run with GUTS? Then mark your calendars and join us for FREE mental training clinic beginning in August! The mental demands of our sport are huge and the way we think and mentally prepare can have a tremendous impact on how we perform and what we get out of our running experiences. Whether you are a competitive runner, a recreational runner, or just a beginner, training your mind along with your body will allow you to reach your potential and increase your enjoyment of the sport.

April 21st, 6:30pm Cross Training Advice with Mr. Xterra 2007, Will Kelsay. Will is a highly accomplished professional Xterra triathlete and multisport guru. He is also a coach for the BOLDRUNNING Training program. Cross training is an important aspect of any training regimen and Will can help you better understand how to incorporate cross training into your program for the most successful results. April 23rd, 7:15pm Running Injury Free with Physical Therapist and 1993 World Marathon Champion Mark Plaatjes. Mark will discuss how to avoid injury when training for long distance running races, how to walk the fine line between fitness and injury and how to maintain a healthy body. April 30th, 7:15pm (Boulder Talk) Nourishment for Runners, with registered dietitian and nutrition therapist Esther Cohen. Esther will talk about nutrition and hydration before, during and after exercise. Location: Boulder Running Company, 2775 Pearl St # 103, Boulder.

Frank will reflect on his Olympic running experiences and look forward to the excitement of this years Games in Beijing. May 21st, 7:00pm Race Motivation with 3 time BolderBOULDER winner Melody Fairchild. Melody was a high school running phenomenon in the mid 1990’s and went on run professionally competing several times for team USA on the world stage. Location: 29th Street Mall Community Room, east side of 29th Street Mall in Boulder, 2nd floor 2 doors down from Borders.
