Winter Base Building/Canyonlands Half Marathon Program Jan 4th - March 20th 2010

Our Winter Base Building program is a fun and energizing way to build fitness in readiness for a great spring. We will take you through a fun-filled mix of cross training, running and strength work to keep you motivated. Train towards the Canyonlands Half Marathon in Moab, a race of your own choice or simply to keep fit.

For those wanting to use the Canyonlands Half Marathon as motivation to train, we have a limited number of race entries available to BoldRunning members. Schedules can also be used for other similar race goal dates.
We have accomodation reserved in Moab on race weekend for BoldRunning members and their families.

Indoor Core Strength Workout:
The training program includes an option to join our exciting indoor circuit training workout very week to work on core strength and running conditioning.

Boulder Workout: North Boulder Rec Center

Denver Workout: Peak to Peak Training Center, 7310 W Colfax, Denver

Pace Groups 
Runners will be placed into one of 6 sub groups based upon your half marathon target time or acheivable goal race pace:
  • Sub 1:30/3:00 (about 7 minute mile pace)
  • Sub 1:45/3:30 (about 8 minute mile pace)
  • Sub 2:00/4:00 (about 9 minute mile pace)
  • Sub 2:15/4:30 (about 10 minute mile pace)
  • Sub 2:30/5:00 (about 11 minute mile pace)
  • I just want to Run the Whole way and Finish

Group Workouts  

Meeting locations are posted to the BoldRunning member site at the start of each week.
There are 4 or 5 main locations in both Boulder and Denver that are used for training runs, depending on the nature of the workout.

Distant Online Training
Don't live in the Boulder/Denver area or can’t make any of the BOLDRUNNING group workouts? You can still train using our online training system, wherever you live. You will have access to the customized weekly schedules, training journal and online group, reference material and e-mail (or phone) communication with your coach.
