BolderBOULDER BEGINNERS PROGRAM

4 Week Introduction to Training - February 21st to March 21st
This program is designed specifically for beginner and new runners and those starting back from a long lay off.
Requirements
Simply a desire to develop the ability to run the BolderBOULDER 10K and other races beyond.
The aim is to have you completing 3 miles or a 5K race as a test at the end of 4 weeks. You will then graduate to the official BolderBOULDER training program.

Group Runs
Meet with others of similar ability for more fun, support and team camaraderie.
Program includes 3 weekly group runs with a coach and other experienced runners on hand to provide guidance and instruction. Guest speakers may address topics such as running form, injury and nutrition.
  • Monday's 6pm - South Boulder Rec Center
  • Thursday's 6pm - South Boulder Rec Center
  • Saturday's 9am - East Boulder Rec Center
Participants are not expected to be at every group run but we encourage you to attend at least one weekly group workout.

Kick-Off Orientation - Sunday February 21st, 1pm - 4pm, East Boulder Rec Center.
Half day introduction and orientation seminar. Hear from speakers on what to expect, training basics, nutrition, heart rate training, injury, cross training and strength training for runners. Meet the coaches, chat with other runners and get your questions answered.


Costs:
4 wk beginner program:$60
Include 10 wk BolderBOULDER program: $169

Training fee does not include entry fee to the BolderBOULDER 10K. Members should wait to run the Dick's Sporting Goods Flatout 5K qualifier race and then register for the BolderBOULDER to ensure correct wave start placement.
